Each time we get an encounter with The Lord, it should be acknowledged and witnessed, both in the Natural and in The Spiritual world, giving glory to The King of kings, Jesus Christ Our Lord!
Bible verses:B Luke 19:1-10:
The keys:
1- TheB B Zacchaeus’ desire to see who Jesus was, created a spiritual hunger and thirst;
2- In his thirst for The Water of Life, His action was outstanding, in verse 4:<<B So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass thatB way.>>
3- He action was rewarded in verse 5, when Jesus said: b Zacchaeus,B [b]make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.b
The wishes in his heart were surely to have an encounter with The Lord; but his desire, thirst and action were rewarded, when then, it was The Lord who wanted to visit him in his house! Is that not amazing?
Brothers & sisters in Jesus Christ, this was not only for Zacchaeus; can you imagine that each day, Our Lord & King Jesus Christ is knocking at our door, longing to have fellowship with us as staying at our house.
In Revelation 3:20, He says: <<Behold,B I stand at the door and knock.B If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,B I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.>>
Let’s stop for a moment and think about that Amazing Divine Privilege….
Each day He keeps knocking at the door of our heart, longing fervently for us to open the door for Him.
And what if day after day we continue to deny His desire for us to open the door for Him?
Below would certainly be the result as He has already said in:
Luke 13:25-30:<<B 25B When once the Master of the house has risen up andB shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying,B b Lord, Lord, open for us,b and He will answer and say to you,B b I do not know you, where you are from,b B 26B then you will begin to say, b We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.b B 27B But He will say, b I tell you I do not know you, where you are from.B Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.b B 28B There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth,when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.B 29B They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God.B 30B And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.>>
Luke 19:1-10: Jesus Zacchaeusb House
19B ThenB JesusB entered and passed throughB Jericho.B 2B Now behold,B there wasB a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich.B 3B And he sought toB see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature.B 4B So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass thatB way.5B And when Jesus came to the place, He looked upB [a]and saw him, and said to him,B b Zacchaeus,B [b]make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.b B 6B So heB [c]made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully.B 7B But when they sawB it,B they allB [d]complained, saying,B b He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.b
8B Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, b Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to theB poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone byB false accusation,B I restore fourfold.b
9B And Jesus said to him,B b Today salvation has come to this house, becauseB he also isB a son of Abraham;B 10B for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.b B
